Brian L. Pauling, CPA, CCEP is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic Business Foundations.  He believes that every individual and every organization has the opportunity to achieve excellence and leave an enduring legacy.  A legacy that will live in the hearts and minds of those we touch – the employees, the customers, the families, the friends, and the communities in which we live – long after we are gone.  More importantly, he believes it is his obligation to provide the tools and the inspiration to individuals and organizations to develop dynamic leaders and proficient business processes to attain such a legacy.

Throughout his professional career, Mr. Pauling has served in a variety of executive, management and consulting capacities in a diverse array of industries.  Mr. Pauling spent six years in Public Accounting performing Assurance and Advisory Services with Ernst & Young, LLP.  He has also served in the Gas and Electric Utility Industry for nearly 15 years holding the responsibilities of Manager of Utility Accounting, Accounting and Finance Acquisition Integration Lead, Director of External Financial Reporting and Analysis, Business Unit Controller, Director of Billing, Credit and Collections and Manager of Special Projects.  Additionally, he has served as a Chief Financial Officer in the Sports and Entertainment industry.  

As a consultant, trainer and keynote speaker, Mr. Pauling has assisted organizations and individuals across the country in the areas of Leadership Development, Process Improvement, Process Reconstruction, and Diversity Training.  In 2007, Mr. Pauling added the title of Author to his list of professional accomplishments by publishing his book, The Recruit: - Life Lessons -.

Mr. Pauling graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia.  He also completed summer studies in the areas of Comparative Asian Industrial Systems and the Sociology of Japan at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Ethics and Compliance Professional. He serves on the Board of Directors of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. - Las Vegas Chapter, Acelero Learning Clark County Head Start Program, NV Energy Foundation, United Way Emergency Food and Shelter Program, and Leader for Life.
